Progress Report of Children in the Academic Year 2005-2006
When children were inducted to the Ashram, Swamiji wished they should study in English medium School, learn English language so that they will have a global opportunity to grow in life.
Keeping in view the background of education they received in remote rural areas, where they faced difficulties even in Gujarati language (Mother Tong) and concepts of other subjects they were admitted to Gujarati medium schools in Bhuj city. In the first academic year they had to work hard as the change was from a rural school to a school in a town. Apart from schools they took private tuitions in ashram developing their ability and skills in Gujarati, English and Hindi languages.
In the consecutive year elder children who were already studding in high school as they whished were allowed to continue in Gujarati medium school.
Children in primary schools who wished to study in English medium went through an interviewed and selection. As per their ability of English language and overall understanding ability they were admited to different standards.
Children who successfully passed the entrance test and interview in Rotary English medium primary school were admitted to KG class.
Raj was upgraded to Std. I after his best performance in 1st test.
Mahadev, Mahesh and Ajay were admitted to Std. II.
Meet and Narendra were admitted to Std. IV.
All the eight children of Balakashram, who were admitted to Rotary School, worked hard and became favourites by dominating in most of the activities of the school. In studies it took time, apart from school, they took personal tuition in ashram and time by the end of the year they were up to the mark with their hard work. In extra curricular activities they were always in the fore front the beginning wining the hearts of their teachers. They share responsibilities in school and participate whole heartedly in each and every activity of the school.
Teachers in school feel the children’s innocence, purity and ashram environment has played an important role in their growth. They feel these children as great asset to their school.
By the end of the academic year they had won many prizes in different competitions held in school. Ajay, Mahadev, Mahesh and Meet won the first place in patriotic song, Fancy dress, 80 mts. race, long jumps & 100 mts. race competitions respectively.
Nara, Raj, Mahadev, Mahesh and Meet won the second place in copywriting, musical chair, needle thread, race, long jump and dance competitions respectively.
Ajay, Mahesh, Narendra and Meet won the third place in 80 mts. race, Fancy dress, musical chair, dance and pot balancing competitions respectively.
Their performance was outstanding in accuracy, promptness and clarity of concepts in mathematics, drawing, music, physical education and yoga.
They have the qualities of always being regular, co-operative, disciplined, polite, well mannered, friendly, responsible and maintain cleanliness.
In the annual examination of the year 2005-2006 they passed with the following results.
